Your Y is one week away from reopening its doors! We are so excited to welcome you back into the Y facility on Wednesday, June 3.

CEO Brian Steffen has a  special message for you !

Our services will be limited in order to ensure they are delivered in a safe and supportive way and to comply with public health and state mandates. The
facility will be open only to Y members for:
  • Cardio and strength training in the Health & Wellness Center and the gym by reservation.
  • Stretching and floor workout space in the gym also by reservation.
  • Singles play in the Tennis Center by reservation. (More information HERE.)
If you plan to return to your Y during Phase 1 of reopening, please know that our procedures, policies and offerings have changed in response to guidelines from health experts, local officials and Ys across the country. Staff are attending online and in-house trainings so that they understand these procedures and are able to answer members' questions. Please familiarize yourself with this new way of operating at your Y to ensure a smooth transition.

General required protocols:
  • Sign an online COVID-19 Waiver of Claims and a Covid-specific Code of Conduct . Please make sure to share our Code of Conduct with anyone on your membership. We only require one member of a household to sign the Code of Conduct.
  • Bring a mask or face covering  for your nose and mouth to wear at check-in and when walking through the facility (NOT required during your workout.)  This marks a change from our previous communication regarding masks.
  • We will take your temperature via a touchless thermometer upon arrival and ask you to answer 5 health questions regarding COVID-19 exposure and symptoms at every visit before entering the facility.
  • Wash hands or use hand sanitizer before entering and exiting the facility (at a provided hand washing/sanitation station.)
Y staff members will be wearing face coverings, cleaning and sanitizing high-use areas and enforcing 6-feet physical distancing requirements.

Entering & Exiting the facility:
  • Enter the facility through the double doors in our van lot (NW corner of our facility). There is a handicap ramp for those with mobility challenges.
  • Child care families enter through main doors. Tennis Center members go directly to the Tennis Center.
Exit the facility at our temporary exit-only doors next to the vending machines and Fun Club (members will need to check out with Y staff at exit doors).

Note: Our check-in and check-out procedures aid contract tracing requirements if anyone tests positive for COVID-19.

Reserving your fitness time:
  • You can register for 1-hour blocks of time up to 1 week in advance. This gives you access to cardio and strength training in the Health & Wellness Center and the gym, and stretching and floor workout space in the gym.
  • If you need more than 1 hour for exercise you may register for consecutive time blocks with a maximum of 2 hours per day.
  • Spaces are limited in order to follow physical distancing guidelines and our new operating hours.
  • Active members may reserve a workout time:
Find the Daxko app in your app store.
    • On Your Online Account. If you have never accessed your account online or registered for a program, watch this quick "how to" video
    • In your Daxko App. Make sure you've entered your membership card number in the "Cards" section of the App. Then simply go to "Programs" and find a day and time that you'd like to reserve.
    • By calli ng your Y: 541.686.9622.
Working out at the Y:
  • Wipe down equipment BEFORE and AFTER use.
  • Plan your workouts around the new gym etiquette: Once you start on a piece of equipment, you will need to complete all your repetitions and sets and then sanitize it. Working-in and supersets will not be allowed.
  • We have spaced equipment out in the Health & Wellness Center and in the basketball gym. Some pieces were removed entirely to provide adequate physical distancing, or because they are not able to be easily sanitized. These include: both rowing machines, one of the hand bikes, the prone T-bar row, the preacher curl station, all foam rollers, sand rolls and weight belts.
  • Abide by occupancy limits. In order to provide adequate physical distance, your Y is limiting the number of people in each area.
  • Bring your own sweat towel. There will be no towel service.
  • Limit your belongings (i.e. your keys and phone). There will be no day-use lockers.
  • Allergy-sufferers: please note that windows and doors will be open.
  • Bring your own filled water bottle. Water fountains will not be in use other than the bottle-fill fountain. (Bottles of water will be available for $1, but cash is not accepted; purchases will be charged to the card on your account.)
  • Follow one-way pathways noted by floor decals throughout the facility.
  • Three bathrooms are available for use: One in the Movement Center hallway outside the gym and two on the pool deck. No showers.
