Powerful Facility Energy Conference

First Annual Powerful Facility Energy Conference

May 20, 2020

The  Seattle Chapter of the International Facility Management Association  is excited to open registration for the first annual Powerful Facility Energy Conference! This is the first year our chapter has partnered with Puget Sound Energy, Seattle City Light, and Snohomish County PUD, to join the forces of our annual Education Symposium and the Electric League's bi-annual Powerful Business conference. The conference, aimed at facility managers and owners, building operations and engineering staff, architects, engineers, and property developers, offers a variety of educational topics, ranging from practical energy solutions to emerging technologies and how the newest policies will affect all those who work in the built environment.

Attendees will learn strategies to improve energy performance and sustain operational cost savings; how to prepare for new codes and policies; and ways to keep your facility and career on track. Conference content provides the business community with the information necessary to find partnerships and solutions that save energy and money, improve comfort, and enhance productivity in their facilities. A series of three breakout sessions are offered throughout the day.   Vendor display opportunities are available for companies interested in showcasing their products and services before an estimated crowd of 300 facility professional attendees.   Welcome breakfast, lunch with a keynote speaker, and reception are all included.

Includes entry into all sessions, keynote address, complimentary Wi-Fi, breakfast, lunch, catered morning and afternoon breaks, reception with two drink tickets and passed appetizers

Includes one complimentary conference registration (see above) plus an 8X10 or 10x10 pipe & drape booth with 3' side rails, 6' skirted table, 2 chairs, wifi and 120V 5-amp power circuit

COVID-19 is top-of-mind across the country, and the American public's concern about contracting the disease swells with each new update to its spread.  But there is no need for hysteria.

U.S. businesses have rallied to successfully deal with pandemics before, and this should be no different.  Still, over the past few weeks, we've increasingly heard comments and concerns - so we created this Facility Managers Guide to COVID-19, complete with best practices and preparations you can take to help prevent the spread of infection and disruptions to business continuity.

IFMA Facility Fusion Cancelled

Dear IFMA Leaders,

As leaders in the IFMA community, the staff at the IFMA Service Center of Excellence wanted to notify you of this important news about Facility Fusion and the COVID-19 coronavirus ahead of our public announcement. The IFMA team understands that members are likely to have many questions. We will continue to communicate about this and related developments as information becomes available. Thank you for your support during this challenging time.

Due to a State of Emergency declared by both the City of San Francisco and Los Angeles County and with growing international concerns over the COVID-19 coronavirus, IFMA has decided to cancel this year's Facility Fusion Conference and Expo. We regret any inconvenience caused by taking this precautionary measure; however, during this global public health emergency, we believe caution is the best action.
The welfare and peace of mind of our conference attendees, staff, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors is our top priority. Alternate dates for Facility Fusion will be announced as arrangements are made. As a registered attendee, for your convenience your confirmed registration will be transferred to the 2021 conference. If you prefer a refund of your registration fees, please send notification to [email protected]. Please note that IFMA cannot be responsible for other costs, losses or inconveniences, such as transportation costs, hotel cancellation fees, reservation fees, lost pay, vacation or leave.

On behalf of IFMA, we express our deepest sympathies to those hit hardest by the virus. As the emergency persists, we must be vigilant in our preventive measures, thorough in our recovery efforts and sympathetic to those impacted.

We encourage all facility management professionals to share best practices and strategies for infectious disease prevention and response. IFMA has created a coronavirus resource page online, which will be continually updated with the latest information, learning opportunities and materials on infection prevention and control, strategic preparedness and risk management. Visit IFMA's Coronavirus Preparedness Resource Center

To help industry professionals continue building their knowledge and skills, we are currently working to organize a virtual conference in the near future. Please follow social media and check our event website at facilityfusion.ifma.org for the latest information.

Stay safe and take care of yourselves and your families.
