GIRLS INC. TEENS NAMED NATIONAL SCHOLARS!
Three Girls Inc. of Santa Barbara teens have been selected as 2021 Girls Inc. National Scholars. Each teen has been awarded the Girls Inc. Lucile Miller Wright Scholarship for her outstanding academic achievements, community service work, and dedication to the Girls Inc. mission of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

Sarahi (17), Roz (17), and Itzel (13) are three of only 30 Girls Inc. National Scholars selected in 2021 from across the United States and Canada.

Since the national scholarship program was created in 1992, more than $6.5 million has been awarded in Girls Inc. scholarships, which has helped make post-secondary education more accessible for girls and young women.

We are so proud of these teen role models and their bright futures!
MINDFUL MOVEMENT FOR GIRLS DURING THE PANDEMIC
Thanks to a generous grant from the Audacious Foundation, Girls Inc. began 2021 by offering one hour of dedicated movement and wellness activities each afternoon for our TK-6th grade students at our Goleta Valley Center.

The grant supports the additional staff time and the activities aimed at keeping girls healthy and their bodies active during the pandemic and beyond to help combat the increase in screen time girls face with their remote learning.
