Warm weather has brought an increase in construction activity on O Avenue NW. Pavement removal and base preparation between 20th Street and 21st Street is nearly complete.  Weather permitting, during the week of April 12, the closure will shift west and pavement removal will begin between 21st Street and 23rd Street. When that occurs, 21st Street residents will have access from Ellis Boulevard, driving over the rock sub-base.

Water main installation on 24th Street is now completed, and water main installation in the north shoulder of O Avenue has resumed, starting from 26th Street and going west. The new water main between 24th Street and 26th Street will be tested soon, then the new services will be installed.

Installation of the box culvert in the south shoulder of O Avenue is expected to resume in late May. Relocations of private utilities are now completed.
