Pictured very top:
Dr. Strawser's Exploration of Robotics Technology and Career Planning scholars had a survival challenge! Imagine that the year is 2201. The Earth as we know it no longer exists. Through a catastrophic event, the human race has nearly ceased to exist. A multi-discipline group has survived and needs to rebuild our civilization using only recycled materials that can be scavenged from the existing environment, Task 1 is to build a vehicle to take them over rough terrain to search for other survivors.

As I mentioned in this space one week ago, our teachers have all been working hard in preparing for our upcoming Virtual Open House on Tuesday, October 6. In this issue you will find details on the event which opens with our Pre-Open House from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday. If you have a student at Lake Nona, I strongly encourage you to carve out the time Tuesday evening to participate. This has always been a very important event each school year and we have been working to make it as helpful as possible online. I am certain you will find it quite beneficial and it will be a wonderful opportunity to interact with our amazing faculty while learning more about your student's curriculum and Lake Nona's extracurricular activities.
In this edition you will also find updated information as it relates to our Learning Labs which are offered on three different days of the week. Please look it over closely as this is something I would like to see our Knights take advantage of whenever they need extra help.
I hope this finds your October off to a great start! Thank you for looking over this latest issue and, as always, thank you for your continued patience and support.
With Knight Pride,
Dr. Stephanie R. Jackson, Ed.D. Principal
