I have had the privilege of working at ASMS for over twenty years, mostly as the Registrar. In this role, I look forward to working with our newly admitted students on Registration Day which is held annually on the first Saturday in May. On Registration Day, I administer placement tests to our incoming students in the subject areas of Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Foreign Language.

This year, because we are unable to host an in-person Registration Day, we are committed to finding innovative ways to assess our new students so that they are placed in their correct class level at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. Our priority is to ensure a smooth transition to ASMS!

I will miss interacting with our new students next month, but I look forward to meeting all of them when we are able to gather on campus again.

ASMS Junior Starts Laboratory Online
YouTube Channel Amid COVID-19
Junior, Emma Joly, was working towards her Girl Scout Gold Award. She wanted to organize a STEM Day for students at a local middle school in spring of 2020, but her plans changed due to COVID-19. Joly came up with an alternative, innovative idea to create Laboratory Online – a YouTube channel where Joly posts STEM videos once a week for students to watch at home. Her primary target audience includes students in sixth through tenth grades because most of the topics are basic chemistry, physics, and math.

Her story was featured on several media outlets in Mobile, AL.
