JUST WHO DO WE THINK WE ARE?
We are more than our current physical bodies and circumstances!

Exploring Past Life Stories, The Power of Our Thoughts, and What Happens When We Die

by Shari Harris

Just Who Do We Think We Are?
Lee Mitchell Says...

"We are a mix of many different soul energies all working together to help this wonderful, fantastic planet of ours to shift to a higher consciousness we call the 5th dimension.

"Some souls are so advanced in their evolution here, or have incarnated in such important times in our human history, that they act as masters for the rest of us to learn from.

"...[W]ithout the growth of incarnation when we choose to experience a human life, our eternal soul essence does not advance as quickly in the "river of life" back to God or Source. We are continually growing as we take on human situations that are difficult."

Greetings!

In this issue of Just Who Do We Think We Are? I want to introduce you to an author who is rather new to me. I'm grateful to my daughter who found her books and encouraged me to read them. I'm excited to share my thoughts about Lee Mitchell's books, especially her second, The Soul's Divine River of Life.

Lee Mitchell is a past life regression therapist, and in her books she relates amazing examples of her clients' past life memories, two chapters of which I summarize from The Soul's Divine River of Life. Each of the thirteen chapters of this book describes past life regressions with a different theme. To me, her books offer believable explanations and comforting encouragement in learning about past lives and our reasons for incarnating on earth. If you have an interest in further exploration of reincarnation, I recommend Mitchell's books listed below. I'm sure you will find them informative.

I encourage you to visit her website, www.crystalsoulpath.com, to learn more about her. An exciting discovery is that she continues to offer readings and regression sessions. Details for requesting her services are on the website for those who may be interested.

Be well and enjoy your amazing life!
Sending my love,
Shari
About Lee Mitchell and The River of Life

Lee Mitchell is a Certified Past Life Regression Therapist and a spiritual intuitive, working mainly from her offices in Colorado Springs and Littleton, Colorado. She conducts regressions in individual sessions and groups in Colorado and also in Laguna Hills, Irvine, and Santa Ana, California, Lewisville, Texas, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Mitchell was trained in the Dr. Michael Newton past life and between lives training technique which she uses in her readings and hypnotherapy sessions. Dr. Newton is a premier authority on past life and between lives hypnotherapy, and has written two books, Destiny of Souls and Journey of Souls. (https://www.newtoninstitute.org)

Mitchell's three books describe details of fascinating past life regressions she has facilitated with her clients. In this issue, I include summaries of several interesting regression sessions from The Soul's Divine River of Life.

After describing memories of dying, many of Mitchell's clients saw "themselves flowing in the River of Life, which is a stream of energy formed by millions of energies (spirits, essences or consciousness--whatever you choose to call them). The River of Life takes them to different locations or places." (p. 173)

Mitchell explains that her clients tell of "being in an evolved consciousness of loving souls while they are not incarnated. It is where they return to heal their spirits after many trials of living out an earthly or other world existence." (p. 173)
Lee Mitchell, The Divine River of Life, 2014, p. 173
From The Divine River of Life:

"We must remember that the River of Life is never ending. There is no linear time. Our souls never die. We just learn, evolve, and strengthen our souls' muscles to swim again in this loving, all-knowing stream that is part of God. It heals us in between incarnations and reminds us how loved we are and how each of us has a purpose on this earth and that each of us makes a difference in this planet each time we choose to come back into another life." (p. 174)

"Our souls are very, very strong. We are so much stronger than we ever realize and without challenges we never get to discover just how strong we really are. These challenges are what make us grow as souls, always evolving, always working on relationships until the day we will return to our source, our creator." (p. 103)

Chapter 4, p. 43:
Understanding Weight Gain and
Abuse in the Present Life

The human body may take on certain traits to compensate for severe experiences in a past life until the higher self can release the pain.

  • Donna, a single woman in her late 30s, a counselor who was quite overweight, came for a regression to see if a past life might be connected to her weight gain.
  • Under hypnosis, Donna saw herself in the 17th Century as a woman being held for years in a dungeon with ragged clothes and little food. In that life, her corrupt brother was in power and feared that she would expose his corruption, so he imprisoned her until she eventually died of malnutrition.
  • In another life in 1842 in Germany, Donna was a wife and mother during war time. Her husband was killed, and she was captured, repeatedly raped, forced to cook and clean, and was eventually strangled to death. During that ordeal, she did not eat, having no interest in food.
  • Donna was told by her guides that her lives of malnutrition and starvation caused her to gain and hold on to her weight in this life. They explained that the regression started a process of understanding that she had been compensating for those lives, and that she would now be able to lose the extra weight.
  • She was also told that she had chosen those severe lives in order to be able to empathize without judgment in future lives with people who suffer.
Chapter 6, p. 61:
Family of Five - Same Soul Group

In this chapter, Mitchell relates the story of Heather, a wife and mother, who asked to have her whole family receive past life regressions. Over a period of two months, all five family members were regressed. As the regressions progressed, it became apparent that "this family group is very close, and they continue to return in each others' lives to share in each other's growth as a soul." (p. 67)

Mitchell explains that sometimes Soul Groups incarnate together in various family relationships. The following are examples of those relationships from the Mansfield family's regression sessions.

The Mansfield family included Heather and her second husband Alex, Heather's two daughters Natasha and Megan from her first marriage to Jim, and Heather's mother Chris. The family is loving and very close.

HEATHER: In her regression, Heather found herself as a young woman named Carolyn in Switzerland in 1942 during the war. She recognized her mother in that life as the soul essence of her current mother-in-law, Ella. She recognized her father in that life as her current husband Alex.
  • She also saw that her husband in that life was the soul of her current daughter Natasha, and one of the children was the essence of her current brother.
  • Carolyn and her family in that life were Jewish. Her husband was arrested and killed. A man in uniform whom she recognized as her current father, arrested her. She saw herself in a cell alone, sad and worried. She eventually hung herself with cloth from her dress.
  • When Heather was moved in the regression to another life, she found herself as a man named Paul in work clothes on a farm. His wife in this life was the soul essence of her current daughter, Megan.
  • His wife struggled to take care of the farm and care for him after he lost an arm and a leg in a farm accident. He was eventually moved to a rehab center where he died.
  • Heather realized that lessons from those lives are to let go of feeling like a burden , as she did in Paul's life, and to begin taking better care of herself rather than totally sacrificing herself in caring for others as she did in the life as Carolyn.

MEGAN: In the regression for daughter Megan, Megan saw herself as a man in boots and pants out west in Montana or Arizona in 1963. Megan recognized a daughter in that life as her current sister, Natasha. The man’s wife was recognized as Megan’s current friend named Daisy. The man's wife died early due to an illness.
  • After the death of his wife, he was friendly with a tribe of Native Americans and was fond of a woman in the tribe whose soul essence was that of Megan's current biological father, Jim. The man never remarried but lived a long happy life and died at age 96.
  • In a second life, Megan remembered being a 19 year old woman in Ireland named Shawn. A man Megan recognized again as her current biological father, Jim, murdered her parents. (Her mother in that life was the same soul as her current mother.)
  • Shawn (Megan) married, had three children, and was widowed early. She led a happy life as a mother and died at age 83.

NATASHA: Natasha remembered a life in Holland married to a man who was the soul essence of her father, Jim. She had twins and led a happy fulfilling life.
  • Natasha remembered another life in which she was a slave girl picking cotton. Her mother in that life was her current mother, Heather. Her father in that life was her current Uncle Matt. Her current sister, Megan, was her sister in that life.
  • The two slave girls ran away just the all slaves were freed. They were able to have a small farm with two cows whose milk they sold for income. They lived happily into their 80s.

These are some examples of Soul Group interactions in Chapter Six, which goes on to relate past life regressions of the other family members, Alex and Chris. In another interesting example, Alex and Heather remembered the same past life in individual regressions. I believe the point Mitchell stresses in this chapter is the importance of soul groups who choose multiple lives together in various relationships as they progress on their paths.

My Favorite Topics

I have three primary topics about which I collect authors' thoughts and which I love to share with others who are interested. I feel that the world would be more loving and inclusive if these ideas were better understood, and individuals would have more clarity about who they are and why they are here. My favorite topics are The Afterlife, Reincarnation, and The Law of Attraction which are expressed in my statement of belief:

Just Who Do We Think We Are?
Shari Says...

I believe we are eternal spiritual beings who are currently
living one of our many lives on Earth and who are the co-creators
of our experiences through our thoughts and beliefs.
Shari Harris

In past issues of Just Who Do We Think We Are?, I attempted to include an author's quote on each of the subjects. However, in the interest of brevity, I will now include just one topic. In this issue I'm highlighting The Afterlife.
What Happens When We Die?

"After our souls leave our bodies at the time of physical 'death', our learning continues on higher planes, which are really higher levels of consciousness. We review the lives we have just left, learn our lessons, and plan for our next life. Learning does not end with the death of the body."

"You will definitely remember everything about your life in the spirit world, even more than you might want to remember. Everything that you ever said, did or thought is recalled, mostly due to a process we go through upon our entry back into the spirit world known as our life review.

"...With our transition from the physical to the spiritual comes clarity--clarity regarding our personality traits and characteristics, our choices and actions, and even how we affected other people and the world."
