Polka Trending

Good to hear that folks are supporting alternative fundraisers to the traditional church picnics. Holy Trinity in Corn Hill had them lining up at 10 am for a drive-thru meal. Serving began at 11 and they were sold out by 11:30, selling 600 meals. The drive-thru meal at St. Michael's in Weimar was also a huge success selling 1,500 plates. Volunteers also staged a cake race and raffle.

This Sunday, St. Rose in Schulenburg will not have it's traditional picnic but will have drive-thru meal, sweepstake drawing, and online auction (bidding starts tomorrow!). Click here to learn more about how you can support St. Rose.

WEEKLY LAUGH

A elderly retiree wobbled gingerly into an ice cream shoppe and carefully, slowly climbed up onto a counter stool. He wheezed for a minute, then ordered a chocolate sundae.
"Crushed nuts?" asked the server.
"No," he answered. "Bad knees."
