SHARE THE PLATE

We Share the Plate each first week of each month with a non-profit organization. During October-December, our plate partner will be the Jerrod Michael Lockett Foundation, founded locally in 2013 to decrease the potential for violence in our communities.

It's Brainstorming Time!

We need some massive, church-wide brainstorming. Many of our yearly, church fundraising events, like chili cook-offs, auctions, etc., are not just about raising money; they are about community-building and having fun. Physical distancing necessitated by the pandemic has made it a challenging time to do these things. So we need to use our imaginations to think of creative fundraising events that give us ways to safely socialize and maybe raise a bit of money.

So we are calling on all you brilliant UUs to dream up some interesting ideas, like on-line auctions or virtual craft fairs. We are not asking you to organize an event (although you are welcome to volunteer). We just want some ideas. Let’s use our imaginations! See the newsletter for further details, or email the Board.
