Good morning,
Thank you to everyone who joined me for our January 20 live online community update.
The must-have gift we can give our kids
Helping our students develop Executive Function (EF) skills is one of THE most important things we do at Westwood.
While Executive Function is a phrase of the moment, this group of skills has always been a major focus for Westwood’s Montessori program for toddler – grade 6 students. Our International Baccalaureate (IB) program for middle and upper school students equally emphasizes the development of EF skills.
We all want our children to grow into adults who can be part of a civil society - hold a job, maintain meaningful relationships, raise children, get along with each other. Therefore, it’s essential we work together as parents and educators to help them develop executive function skills.
