Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary at The Emanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Drive, West Hartford.  Interment will follow at the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery,  1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield.

Immediately following interment, the family will receive relatives and friends at The Emanuel Synagogue for a meal of consolation .

The family will receive visitors at the Kates home, 8 Alpine Meadow, Avon, on Saturday afternoon, and minyan and shiva will be held that evening at 8:00 p.m. Shiva will continue on Sunday from 7:00-9:00 p.m., with minyan at 7:15 p.m., at the home of Robin and Jeffrey Walden, 241 Great Pond in Glastonbury. 

Memorial donations may be made to Hartford Hospital Oncology Research, 80 Seymour Street, P.O. Box 5037, Hartford, CT  06102, or to Dana Farber Pancreatic Oncology Research Fund, in care of Dr. Robert Mayer, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA  06045.
