Start the New Year Refreshed!
Are you looking for ways to start the new year refreshed and energized? Physical activity may be the answer. According to the American Heart Association, "being more active can help all people think, feel and sleep better, and perform daily tasks more easily." For adults, just 150 minutes in a week, or about 20 minutes a day, of moderate-intensity aerobic activity can do the trick.
Not sure how to start? Consider Chabot's Fitness Center, classes, and/or CHAMP Program. Chabot College Healthy Aging and Movement Project (CHAMP) is an exercise program FREE of charge to members of the community interested in losing body fat or improving muscle tone while developing newly found strength and confidence through a scientifically designed training program.
