COVID-19 Update
(March 12, 2020)
With the emerging developments in Ontario related to the COVID-19 situation, we would like to share relevant resources with our members and the business community at large.

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce has prepared an excellent resource, “ Pandemic Preparedness for Business." The Canadian Chamber also had a teleconference with the Prime Minister, and asked for extended support for small- and medium-sized businesses (lenience in deadlines for income tax filing and bill payments, for example). As we learn more about the government’s response as it relates to the impact on businesses, we will share the details with you.

We encourage all our members to follow the precautions and protocols set out by our government health experts.

The Grimsby Chamber is in contact with municipal officials, Chamber umbrella organizations, and our peers in Niagara to connect businesses and residents to relevant, verified information and resources. An important reminder at this time is that there are currently NO cases of COVID-19 reported in Niagara, and that the risk to Niagara residents is rated as low.

We will continue to closely monitor the developing landscape, and keep our members informed.

In the meantime, here are some important sources of information, for both businesses and the general public:

Stay healthy!
