Comment on Century Boulevard Extension Project
A bridge over Rock Creek will connect Century Boulevard, between Main and Lois streets, east of Noble Woods Park. Sidewalks and cycle tracks along Century Boulevard will create a shorter connection between homes and businesses for those walking through the park.
In partnership with city of Hillsboro, Century Boulevard will be widened with a center turn lane, south of Borwick Street, and realigned between Lois and Ariel streets.
We will reduce environmental impacts by using Dark Sky-compliant streetlights that are better for nocturnal animals. The system will also allow the city to dim the lights when traffic is low. We will also plant over 100 trees and shrubs and treat stormwater runoff before it is released.
