GENERAL
SECOND MOVIE NIGHT AT PEN
Mark your calendars for the second movie night at Pen TONIGHT at 7:30 pm. Click here to purchase tickets through the student webstore. If you have any issues accessing the webstore, email Ms. Croucier at [email protected]. Only 80 cars are allowed to attend due to social distancing rules. This movie night is for juniors, sophomores and freshmen only. The cost is $20 per car and the movie is Moana. Cars may enter only at the Hawthorne Blvd. entrance (driveway #1). All other entrances will be closed. Cars are allowed to enter starting at 6:30 pm on Thursday. Students must wear masks and show their COVID “green screen” plus student ID through rolled up windows. You may access the COVID-19 self-screener here. County protocol mandates no gathering outside of cars. Students may only leave their cars to use the restroom and remain 6 feet apart from other attendees.
 
COOKING CLASS
Like Persian food? Don’t miss the next cooking class sponsored by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee of the PTSA TONIGHT at 6:00 pm. A Panther family will teach participants how to make Kuku Sabzi, a Persian herb frittata. Register here and click here to obtain the recipe.
 
DEADLINE EXTENDED
If you are interested in taking on a leadership role at Pen, consider applying for ASB. The class meets daily during fourth period and plans school-wide events such as prom, graduation, homecoming and more. The application and timeline are at pvphs.pvpusd.net under Panther Picks or click here. The deadline to apply for an appointed position is TOMORROW, Mar. 19 at 5:00 pm.
 
NEW HOURS FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
Curbside pickup hours for the free breakfast and lunch are now 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday. Come to the Gate 3 entrance before Basswood where the line forms outside the gym. This program is open to any student 18 and under and recipients do not need to be enrolled in PVPUSD. No pre-order required. All meals include an entrée, choice of milk and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Menus are at pvpusdschoolnutrition.net.

Watch My Neighbor Totoro hosted by the Japanese National Honor Society TOMORROW, Mar. 19 at 6:00 pm on Zoom. Fill out the registration form and the link will be sent to you.

ATHLETICS
BOYS’ BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
Practice your basketball skills and get ready for the boys’ basketball tryouts Wednesday, Mar. 24 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on the outdoors courts. Participants must first be cleared through the Student Store and bring to the tryouts a basketball, athletic shoes and reversible jersey, water bottle and hand sanitizer.
