New Reports, Studies, Guides & Tools
Jhpiego
The 2016 Jhpiego Gender Analysis Toolkit is a practical guide for public health professionals seeking to understand how gender can impact health outcomes, both through service delivery and access to information and care.  Its primary focus is sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health.

Advancing Partners & Communities
This situation analysis aims to review the evidence on current models of community-to-facility referrals for LARC/PM, to provide recommendations on promising models that should be tested for effectiveness, and to provide an agenda for future research.


USAID's Maternal and Child Survival Program
This document summarizes a literature review on civil society engagement to strengthen national health systems to end preventable child and maternal death. 


Meeting the Needs of Young Married Women and First-time Parents
Pathfinder International
Young married women and first-time parents (FTPs) face a unique set of challenges to living healthy sexual and reproductive lives. This series of trainings aims to give health care providers, community workers, and small group facilitators the knowledge and skills they need to meet the needs of these groups.


Catholic Relief Services
The Health and Social Services unit at Catholic Relief Services developed this learning document to capture and share knowledge gained through the AIDSRelief program's transitions to local partners. 



Freedom from Hunger
This tool documents the experience of selecting among health outcomes and indicators to help financial institutions track client health and well-being. A data collection and analysis tool has also been created to facilitate use of poverty and health data. 

Hesperian Health Guides
The newest resource from Hesperian Health Guides tells the story of Latino Health Access, a vibrant collective organizing for health in Santa Ana, California, that uses the promotores model of peer-to-peer health education and outreach long championed in Latin America. 




Women's Refugee Commission
Based on research conducted throughout 2015 in Beirut, Quito, Delhi, and Kampala, this report calls on systemic policy changes and innovating programming within the humanitarian community to mitigate and respond to GBV directed at urban refugees. 

Promundo
This report highlights the importance of engaging adolescent boys and young men in sexual and reproductive health and rights and in gender equality. It reviews current research on boys' and young men's specific risks and realities - and the implications for women and girls. 

Medical Teams International
This course is primarily geared toward program managers in the field and HQ levels in order to build competencies in community-based primary health care, program design and management. A participant manual is to be used alongside this course for responding to reflective questions and participatory exercises. 

Pathfinder International
Key implementation-related findings from the "Addressing the Family Planning Needs of Young Married Women and First-Time Parents Project" in Burkina Faso are included in this report. The findings focus on how to tailor sexual and reproductive health services to meet the diverse needs of young married women and first-time parents.

Medicines for Humanity welcomed Margaret Brawley, a seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience working in international public health, as its new Executive Director beginning May 9, 2016. 

NetsforLife®, Episcopal Relief & Development's flagship, award-winning malaria prevention and control program, celebrated 10 years of strengthening communities to fight this deadly disease.

Concern Worldwide's video "Nepal - Responding and Beyond" won the Grand Prize in GlobalGiving's annual video contest. The film documents Concern's response to Nepal's devastating 2015 earthquake.

The  Salud Maternal Infantil website , designed and managed by URC's  USAID ASSIST Project  and partner  Latin America and Caribbean Newborn Health Alliance,  recently reached an exciting landmark: over one million viewers across Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Global Alliance to Prevent Prematurity and Stillbirth (GAPPS), an initiative of Seattle Children's, has received a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to develop a roadmap for monitoring vaccine safety in pregnant women.

The Skoll Foundation announced it is awarding Living Goods and Chuck Slaughter a 2016 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship.
