SW 136 Street Improvement Project Update
Last week, we reported that work would begin in June for the SW 136th Street Improvement Project, which includes the construction of a new shared path along SW 136th Street from US 1 to Old Cutler Road. This past Monday, County crews identified the trees that will be removed and replaced for the project.

We want to remind our residents that this project was designed and engineered to minimize the impact to existing trees and vegetation. The county has tagged the trees that will be removed with an orange ribbon and those that will be relocated with a blue ribbon. It is important to underscore that the existing tree canopy will be fully replenished with new, native Florida trees.

We will continue to provide information and updates concerning this project as information becomes available.
