Fellowship Family,

Happy Friday! I pray your Thanksgiving holiday was filled with food, family, and friends and everything else that makes Thanksgiving wonderful. Among my many blessings, I count Fellowship Presbyterian Church and each one of you in the congregation near the top of my list. I am grateful for all of the ways you "show up" for each other, our surrounding neighborhoods, and the city of Greensboro. I look forward to all of the ways we will continue to learn and grow as we live up to our vision statement:

"Fellowship Presbyterian Church's ministries proclaim God’s love
through:
• Worship and study,
• Service in the community, and
• Kindness and grace towards all"

I am excited to be in the pulpit again on Sunday as we mark the beginning of a new church year and the season of Advent. I don't know about you, but I love the decoration and the preparation for the holidays and that's what Advent is all about- preparing for the coming Messiah Jesus Christ into our world. This Advent, we will be preaching a sermon series entitled "A Cinematic Christmas" where we take a look at popular Christmas movies and TV shows, and the lessons they have to teach us about our faith. This Sunday, we'll take a look at the 2004 classic 'The Polar Express" starring Tom Hanks.

See you Sunday!

Wondering what to do with all of those grocery shopping bags? The Missions committee will be collecting “gently used” plastic grocery bags for Backpack Beginnings. Please bring any you don’t use to church with you, leaving them on the Missions table in the Dogwood Lobby closest to the double doors leading towards the classrooms.
Fellowship Presbyterian has online giving available through the Presbyterian Foundation.
