Control Committee Report -By Mr. Kamran Raminfard

On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, Mr. Nikhil Jhaveri, myself, Mr. Rahul Parikh, Mr. Sean Gamliel, and Ms. Radhika Malhotra attended the annual control committee meeting. Mr. Lon Stein was not in attendance.  We examined all the books and reports including the profit & loss and the balance sheet for the fiscal year of 2021. Randomly, we picked a few transactions and investigated the supporting documents.  Mr. Rahul and Ms. Radhika presented us with all the supporting papers. We found everything to be satisfactory. The control committee appreciates the effort that Mr. Rahul Parikh has invested in the success of this club for over a decade. For the new fiscal year, Mr. Sean Gamliel has accepted the position of Treasurer. We all wish him success.

DCWC Membership Dues Deadline Reminder

Dear Member, As you can see this year's billing for membership dues has been divided into two bills, each one for six (6) months period. Your bi-annual membership dues are payable by Friday, July 29, 2022 ($325.00)                Failure to pay on time may result in the suspension of your membership and its benefits. Your second bill will be sent out in mid-September.

Foot Beats For DTLA -As shared by Council Office

Councilmember De Leon is pleased to announce that LAPD Central Division Captain Morales began deploying High visibility LAPD foot patrols yesterday, July 20, in high-traffic areas of Downtown, Los Angeles.   During the recently completed fiscal year 2022-2023 budget process and thanks in large part to your input and targeted advocacy campaigns, Councilmember De Leon was able to secure $2.5 million in LAPD overtime funds to be used to deter crime in high-traffic areas of Downtown, Los Angeles.   This deployment of LAPD foot patrol resources will be implemented using 6-hour LAPD overtime details and will be targeted geographically by LAPD Central Division.   Thank you for your partnership and advocacy as we work together to make DTLA safer for everybody.
