Mass for CCHS Dads this Friday, March 19 - NEW TIME - now at 8:30 AM Calling all Charlotte Catholic Dads! Pope Francis has proclaimed 2021 as the Feast of St. Joseph, the patron saint of all fathers. This year, let's celebrate YOU, the amazing fathers in our community! Please join Fr. Reid on Friday, March 19 at 8:30 AM for the celebration of Mass on the Solemnity of St. Joseph in the Chapel. Coffee and Danishes will be served after Mass. Capacity limited to 80 Dads, so please sign up soon!

The Sister Paulette Williams, RSM Awards - Nominate Teachers who make a difference: These awards inspire and honor CCHS faculty members who truly excel in their roles as educators and mentors. The entire community - parents, students, faculty and staff - are encouraged to be a part of the process and nominate teachers for this award. Five winners are selected each year, and each winner is presented $5,000 at graduation. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 26.

Applications are available now! Student Ambassadors are 10th -12th grade students who will represent Charlotte Catholic High School to prospective students and parents. They should be friendly, knowledgeable about the school environment, and eager to welcome new students to our community. Since we accepted new ambassadors in the fall, this spring e will only be taking applications from rising10th grade students. Freedom School Partners promotes the long-term success of children by preventing summer learning loss through igniting a passion for reading and inspiring a love of learning.  The Freedom School Partners club is having a book drive through Friday, March 19.  Please bring new or gently used books appropriate for grades K – 8 and leave them in boxes in the front lobby.  Help a child fall in love with reading!! All Spectators at athletic events must wear a mask, wash their hands, and observe a 6 foot social distance at all times from people outside their household. This applies to sitting in the stands, waiting in lines, etc. Thank you for your cooperation and adherence to the State guidelines.

Kara Ann Kloiber Make a Difference Award:
This $5,000 scholarship is funded by the CCHS Foundation and awarded to a graduating senior who has exemplified and contributed to Charlotte Catholic’s spirit of community, inclusiveness, charity and service. Any member of the senior class, a member of CCHS faculty or a staff member may nominate a student in the class of 2021. Self-nominations will not be accepted. The deadline for nominations is March 31, 2021.

CCHS Alumni Association Scholarships:
  1. Two $1,500 scholarships are awarded, one to a graduating senior and one to a graduating senior who is a legacy student. These scholarships recognize seniors who have contributed to a positive school environment through academic performance and various forms of extracurricular involvement, including activities such as sports, leadership roles, student council, and various other clubs and programs;
  2. Demonstrated a commitment to community involvement and service; and
  3. Exemplified a positive image of Charlotte Catholic High School to the church and community.

Class of 1989 Memorial Scholarship: Sponsored by the Alumni Association and the Class of 1989, this award is for $500 and is intended to recognize an individual student whose life has been affected by cancer. Students may self-nominate, or may be nominated by other students, CCHS faculty and staff. Use the application drop down menu to select Class of 1989 Memorial Scholarship. The deadline for submission is March 31, 2021.

Seniors: Please provide a copy of information regarding any scholarships earned to your counselor. These scholarships will be noted one time in the Catholic Daily on Fridays and the Graduation Program. The name of the scholarship and the school that awarded it will be recognized. The actual dollar amount is not made public though is noted as part of the class total at the end of the school year.

Unless your student has elected full remote learning or is a temporarily remote learner, students must be on campus in school.

Calendar
CCHS Calendar including rotation day

Instruction time will end at 2:19 PM, however end of day prayer and announcements will begin then, followed by a staggered dismissal. Plans for afternoon carpool and transportation will not change. Students will not begin extracurricular activities before 2:35.
Carpool and Parking Information
The paved and gravel lots are closed for pre-construction work.
There is no parking in these lots this year.

Construction update: The Little Avenue entrance will be closed due to construction of the Fine Arts Center as of Monday, January 25. All traffic entering campus will use the Highway 51 (Pineville-Matthews Road) entrance or the Walsh Boulevard entrance. Traffic exiting via Little Avenue will now be redirected behind the visitors’ side of the stadium and to Walsh Boulevard.

As construction for the Fine Arts Center begins, there will be no vehicle or pedestrian access to or from Little Avenue. Anyone needing an on campus parking permit, please see Mr. Belk. Parking information can be found below in Quick Resources.

Visitor Policy
To ensure the health and safety of our school community, we remind our community of our current policy regarding visitors: No visitors, including parents, alumni and volunteers will be allowed inside the main school buildings until further notice without an appointment. This includes Masses. Those with an appointment must be screened.
