September 2022 Children's Ministry Updates
Dear Parents,

Happy September!

It has been wonderful to see everyone in worship. August 14 was an exciting day to see so many children receiving their Bibles. We had fun together at the End of the Summer Celebration as well as the kickoff! Thank you.

We have some exciting things coming up in the life of our church! I am thankful for you. Thank you for sharing your child with us at MBBC.

Sharon
During our kid’s kickoff, kids had the opportunity to adopt a mascot (squish mallow). As with all “adoptions”, there is a care plan. Children are encouraged to read their Bible and participate in the fall Bible reading plan as they learn Bible skills. Click on the buttons below to access your child’s age group plan.
To add a little fun, points will be awarded for scripture memory as well as Sunday morning and Wednesday evening attendance. Kids names will be entered into a drawing to pie a staff member or willing volunteer during the Thanksgiving luncheon on November 20! Parents, you keep your child’s score! I still have several mascots that need adopting. I will have them available before and after the worship services on September 11.
Wednesday Nights Resume on September 7
Dinner is at 5:00 pm followed by missions and then music. Please check your child in to Heritage Hall before going upstairs to missions. This month, we will focus on Puerto Rico. The last Wednesday night of each month, we will celebrate church birthdays with CAKE!
How to Become a Christian?
September 11 | 10 AM | Hudson Hall
The most important decision anyone can make is to choose to follow Jesus as their Savior. On Sunday, September 11, at 10:00 am, we will have a class in Hudson Hall to talk about this important decision. Parents are encouraged to join us as we look at scripture and discuss the next step. Please let Sharon know if your child can come.
Waffles With Wayne
School age kids complete the sheet and give to Sharon after worship (any staff member this week!). When your child completes 4 sheets, they will get to have a Waffle with Wayne. This is a fun way for our kids to know our Pastor as well as listen and learn in worship.
Sunday School
Each week you will receive an email about what your child is learning as well as some things that you can discuss at home to help them learn throughout the week. I have asked our school age kids if they like the new format. The answer is yes, but we miss Joel. I am happy to say that we are working to bring Joel back! Stay tuned!!!
Serving Opportunities
One of the ways children are being asked to serve is to read the offertory scripture on Sunday mornings and to ask the blessing on Wednesday nights. Below are the sign-up genius links.
The following individuals had PERFECT ATTENDANCE in Sunday School during the month of August. Please stop by my office for a treat.

Ellie Bonnikson, Charlotte & Elizabeth Brand, Abbi Calvert, Graham Harwell, Argie Hills, Eli Hyde, Charlie Keith, Ann Louise & James Montgomery, Lillian Pickett, Noah Piede, Lily & Larkin Saunders, Bri & Ollie Shown, and Eleanor & Mae Splawn.

Many of our faithful Sunday School teachers were here every week. Please take time to thank your child’s teacher for faithfully teaching your child about Jesus.
