MVBC Family Happenings
Happy Thanksgiving! My hope is that each of you will be able to enjoy time with family and friends during the next few days. If possible, I hope you can disconnect from life’s normal stresses and reconnect with those who love you and want the best for you. The pinnacle of celebrating Thanksgiving is often experienced around the dinner table, so take a few moments to publicly recall God’s faithfulness to you so that others can be reminded of His faithfulness to them.

I hope you will join us for corporate worship this Sunday. We will study 1 John 3:4-10 where we are confronted with a few strong statements which may trouble us. John writes:

“Whoever abides in Him [Jesus] does not sin. Whoever sins has neither
seen Him nor known Him.” (v. 6)
“He who sins is of the devil, …” (v. 8)
“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, …” (v. 9)

How are we to understand the presence of sin in the lives of professing Christians? To get an answer to this question, come join us this Sunday to be encouraged that we have victory in Jesus!
Our Thanksgiving Eve Family Service is tonight, November 24, at 6:45 p.m. in the Chapel. There will be no children or teens' programs. Everyone is invited for a worship time as a church family.
