A Message from Rebecca Mountain DNP, RN

Heading into the holidays when temptations are strong to stray from our healthy diets is a good time to learn more about the relationship between type 2 diabetes and heart failure. The thing is, if you have one, you are more prone to the other. This issue will help you learn about prevention and treatment, the relationship between these two chronic diseases, common cardiovascular tests for people with diabetes, tips for eating well, and how to find support. We are also happy to share information on a November 30th evening presentation “Preventing Diabetes Complications” by a panel of experts including an endocrinologist, ophthalmologist and cardiologist. See below for registration info.
