GREETINGS,
Autumn has arrived! Some fall activities have begun and others including skating school and youth hockey will begin soon. Registration opens online next week for Girls Basketball and Co-ed Basketball for youth. In most cases, participation numbers are limited and additional safety precautions, such as wearing masks and social distancing, are required. In order to continue to successfully and safely operate, we need YOUR COOPERATION in following the rules.
To assist in keeping you healthy, the Greenwich Department of Health is offering Flu Clinics for the community on two occasions. Don't wait to get a vaccine!
The Parks and Recreation Office at Town Hall is only open by appointment. That will change October 13. Most business can be done online. Office staff are available by email. Feel free to contact us. Both the Eastern and Western Civic Centers are closed to the general public, but they have resumed programming. Only those persons registered for programs, and no more than one parent/guardian per youth participant will be admitted to the Civic Centers. The buildings are available for rent for meetings and public activities. No private parties for the time being. The Dorothy Hamill Skating Rink has re-opened for rental groups and limited public sessions; more information is found below.
Best Regards,
Sue Snyder, Recreation Superintendent
