Gorge Tech Alliance began managing the region's FIRST LEGO League equipment lending program and tournaments in 2009 with the support of many of our GTA members and sponsors who were interested in ensuring our youth had access to robotics programming locally!
Over the past 13 years, hundreds of youth have benefitted from access to these STEM opportunities because of this commitment by the GTA's members and sponsors.
We are thrilled to announce that the GTA has transitioned oversight of these robotics programs to the Columbia Gorge STEM Hub. This local organization is focused on increasing access to STEM education opportunities in the Gorge-and bringing the robotics program under their umbrella will set it up to succeed moving forward! The GTA will continue to support this important program through fundraising as part of our annual Membership and Sponsorship Drive and looks forward to continued support from the tech community in the Gorge for this important programming.

The State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), originally established in 2010, has been highly successful in increasing access to capital for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
This month, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the approval of Oregon’s application for funding. The state plans to operate five programs aimed at countering systemic barriers to economic opportunity by providing access to capital for small businesses in persistently underserved, low- and moderate-income areas and rural communities.
