Save the Date: Fair Tax Training ~ On Wednesday, April 29, the LWV IL will host a virtual session for League members and others interested in helping to educate friends, neighbors, and groups about the need for a Fair Income Tax. During the first hour, LWV IL Issues & Advocacy Co-Chairs Jean Pierce and Issue Specialist Ann Courter will present the latest Fair Tax PowerPoint and share pointers/information on how to speak knowledgeably and informally about why voters need to vote Yes for the Fair Tax Amendment. After that, Jean and Ann will work with individuals who are willing to make presentations to groups. Register for this April 29, 1:00pm training meeting

Plant Sale Fundraiser - Our annual plant sale fundraiser with Good Earth Greenhouse, 7900 Madison, River Forest will take place the weekend of May 15-17. LWV OPRF will receive 15% of sales. Advance purchases can be made over the phone with curbside pick-ups. The deadline for these phone orders will be Monday, May 4. A list of available plants with prices will be forthcoming. Purchases will also be able to be made in person the weekend of the sale.
