The Future of Work is Diverse, Inclusive, Just and Equitable

GlobalMindED closes the equity gap by creating a capable, diverse talent pipeline through connections to role models, mentors, internships for low-income students, returning adults, First Gen to college and inclusive leaders who teach them, work with them and hire them.
Rx for Resilience: Perspective
Today marks the 55th anniversary of the Apollo 11 capsule landing safely back on Earth after being the first mission to successfully land humans on the Moon July 20, 1969. Currently, NASA is preparing for the launch of the Artemis 1, a megarocket planned to take humans to the moon again, including the first woman and first person of color landing on the moon. With this relanding on the moon, NASA is hoping to bring a new, inclusive perspective to scientific discovery, inspiring the next generation of explorers, representing more of the earth’s population. The Artemis 1 will shift our perspective of the moon, space exploration, and how to better collaborate with global space forces. The planned launch of the Artemis 1 will take place sometime between late August and early September.
While preparing for these giant leaps in space exploration, one cannot help but remember the previous moon landing, and the awe-inspiring photos of Earth from space. How beautiful, small, and fragile Earth looks in the deep black of space. Our world, since our first landing on the moon, has only grown increasingly more fragile. The changes in climate and rising temperatures are affecting people globally, and continue to intensify, with increasingly extreme heat waves, fires, storms, droughts, changing ocean and air temperatures. In reflecting on revisiting the moon and gaining a new perspective, may we remain aware of the opportunity we all have to act and improve our current world every day in ways large and small-from reusing water to avoiding plastic to cleaning up trash.
Today, we encourage everyone to broaden your perspective towards our current life on Earth. What state is our world in? How has this changed and transformed over the course of your life? What actionable steps can you be making to improve and intentionally offset the current climate challenges? How can you support communities most dramatically affected by changes in climate?
As NASA deepens explorations of space, may we continue to examine our perspectives of life on this planet in ways that will sustain us all. The opportunity for change—and miracles such as those we have achieved in space—lie within each of us here on earth.
June 2022 Conference Summary in Photos and Videos
We had an inspiring conference in June after two years of virtual gatherings due to COVID. If you missed that, you can still be a part of the experience through the photos from the 2022 GlobalMindED conference:
