Cover Story: Welcoming Anthony Lanzi to the Yacht Services team

Haven Harbour Yacht Services welcomes Anthony Lanzi, our newest marine technician.

Born and raised in Millville, N.J., Anthony made his move to the Chesapeake Bay area following enrollment in courses at the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies (MITAGS) in Baltimore. His combined 17 years in recreational boating and commercial operating have led him to obtain experience in a wide array of marine service capacities.

Before starting at Haven Harbour Marina Resorts, Anthony worked for six years at Tidewater Yacht Service Center in Baltimore where he completed projects ranging from bottom paint application, sanitation and electrical system retrofitting to thru hull replacement, rigging service and more.

Anthony, certified in ABYC marine systems, corrosion and electrical, as well as being a Garmin-certified systems technician and installer, cites the process behind each retrofitting project as his favorite part of the job.

"I really enjoy retrofits," he said. "Pulling everything out and putting my own stamp on it so to speak is the driving force for me."

Just In: Palm trees arrive at Haven Harbour South for seasonal planting

A delivery of palm trees for seasonal planting on the beach at Haven Harbour South arrived Thursday, just in time for the start of a new summer season.

Nearly half the palms from last year were saved and are being replanted following winter storage in a climate-controlled facility in Pennsylvania.

A recent addition to Rock Hall Harbor, the private beach at HHS is a great amenity for slipholders and visiting transient boaters, and we look forward to sharing this special space with you all in the coming months – at a safe distance of course!

NOW OPEN WEEKENDS

Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South are now open for weekend business. Visit our boatyards, purchase parts or fill-up. New hours include 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Saturday.

COVID-19 INFORMATION

While on Haven Harbour Marina or Haven Harbour South property, perform standard social distancing practices with members of your party, fellow boaters and Haven Harbour Marina Resorts employees. Groups should not congregate, especially on piers or in public areas. We ask all customers and visitors to join our staff in wearing protective facial masks when interacting with other persons.

The Marine Store and offices remain closed to the public, however cashless transactions for goods and statement payments, as well as curbside delivery for parts and products, is available to visiting slipholders and customers.

Restrooms, fuel dock and Inn at Haven Harbour facilities are open to the public, but we ask that all CDC guidelines are followed by patrons accordingly.

If planning a visit, please be self-sufficient by packing your own sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, masks and other personal protective equipment.

Note that if you have requested service to your vessel following recent personal use, we will not be able to board the vessel until three (3) days following said use. We are sensitive to your needs and will do everything within our power to provide superior service, but are taking necessary steps for the protection of our team.
