The following is the first in a continuing series of “Lake” stories. Please follow us as we delve into the history, importance, beauty and upkeep of our valuable asset.

As JL residents we have all seen and been influenced by our waterway, the JL Lake.

We have a unique opportunity to participate as volunteers in a program, Lakewatch, offered by the University of Florida. Lakewatch uses trained volunteers to monitor lakes throughout Florida. The two-hour Lakewatch training session will be held here in JL on April 20th. The best part for us is that it meets the requirements of our budget...it is free.

Lakewatch is one of several opportunities for all JL residents to help keep our lake healthy. Even if you don't meet all the requirements, once you are trained you can always help monitor and thus maintain the health of our Lake, both now and in the future.

For details, go to http://lakewatch.ifas.ufl.edu. Please feel free to pass this information on to anyone you know who may want to participate.

Contact: Bill at [email protected] if you want to be included in the training session.
Just a friendly reminder concerning JL's Dog Park

For the safety of our furry friends, please make sure you close both gates at all times when entering and leaving the dog park. If they are left open, our precious pets may encounter harm, which is something we all want to avoid.

Thank you for continuing to care for our loyal companions by closing the gates.
When thinking about a professional to handle your real estate needs, please consider using JL Realty/NV Realty as Jonathan's Landing POA benefits from every sale.
GREAT NEWS!!

We should be finished with the gazebo pavers by the end of next week. Make sure you come out and see how beautiful they look.
Please join Jonathan’s Landing Cares for a Week of Giving April 1st through April 8th

Due to the restrictions related to COVID-19, JL Cares was unable to sponsor several volunteer and live fundraising events, including the Annual Gala and Silent Auction during which JL Cares raises funds to provide grants to worthy local agencies. However, the agencies we support need our help NOW more than ever!

To address this need JL Cares is hosting a Week of Giving April 1 thru April 8.

Please watch for the ‘Week of Giving’ website which will be live shortly, where you will be able to make a donation online by credit card and where you can learn more about the campaign and the agencies JL Cares supports.

Additionally, there will be donation sites set up at the JL POA office, Fitness Center, and JLGC Clubhouse where you can make a donation by check.  All those who donate $250 or more will be entered into a Thank You Prize Drawing that includes: Disney World passes, wine tastings, restaurant gift certificates, golf and tennis lessons, Tito’s vodka and more!
Please join us - with your support and involvement. Each of us can make a positive difference in the lives of individuals who currently need a ‘helping’ hand.

JL Cares is an ‘all volunteer’ 501 (c)3 not-for-profit organization and we are proud to say 99% of all monies collected directly go to the charities we support.

If you have questions, or want more information, please contact Linda Gilmore at [email protected] or Teresa Price at [email protected] or any JL Cares Board Member!
As spring is upon us, we have more residents at home in JL.

Please remember when using your golf cart to slow down and yield to residents walking on JL's pathways.

Thank you.
Scenic Overlook Now Open

JL POA passed final inspection with Palm Beach County yesterday, on the Scenic Overlook in South Rec. As this closes out the county’s involvement, the platform will be open for JL residents and their spring break guests starting today.
