Gathering In Grace
In this week's newsletter, we want to share how Grace Talk has been so far. Below is a short update from Chris the Outreach Pastor writing on behalf of the Reunion Church team.

We’re now into our 2nd week of Grace Talk and the series is exactly what’s needed for this moment in Reunion Church’s history. Although this has been our go-to series for years within our discipleship and leadership development process, there’s still more to discover about God’s grace. To build a local church, you have to go back to the basics.

This week, those basics were revolving around the concept of how we tend to misuse what God gives us, namely grace itself. From broken sandbags to fasting for spiritual favors, Andrew efficiently unpacked the idea that maybe we should reconsider what we think we know about faith in general. The key passage in this process was the infamous Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5.

It’s here where Andrew keyed into the idea of how working towards grace is a false gospel, while the grace of God has already been worked out by Jesus. In fact, we just receive the final product of grace versus having to manufacture our own knock-off version that doesn’t even come close to the original. For more on that message, check out our podcast linked down below for the Sunday Recap.

And yet as per usual, there’s always a lot going on at Reunion Church. For starters, Andrew and Hannah are continuing the church assessment process as we speak in Denver and learning what it means to be bi-vocational in an all-or-nothing world. Our website has been revamped thanks to the great effort of our team, especially as Amber led that project. Also, word is getting around town about this Grace Talk series and more new people from the area are joining the conversation.

As we begin to enter the 4th quarter of the year, this local community is only going to grow more. This may be week 2 of Grace Talk, but there’s still time to sign up and see what grace really means in your life. We hope to see you there as we keep gathering in grace.
Support Us
Running a local church is a demanding process. It requires financial and prayerful support to keep it going. Would you consider partnering with us and joining our team by giving a donation?

Currently, your donation will go towards a new space that meets the needs of our rapidly growing church ($1,500 per month), our new website design to provide more services for the community ($3,000), and even more to reach the people of Reunion.

Click below to give to check out our new website. It needs work, but that's where you can help us get to our goal of $3,000 to raise for the website renovation.

PODCAST
In our latest podcast episode, Andrew and Chris discuss the latest installment of our current series: Grace Talk. They discuss the toxic mixture of adding works to grace, the Sermon on the Mount, and even how Americans have got the wrong idea about fasting.
What You Can Be Praying For
  1. That we would meet the needs of the neighborhood with our new Grace Talk series.
  2. We are in need of a worship leader for our full-service launch in January, along with expanding the rest of our teams this year.
  3. For the people of Reunion and the surrounding area as our church quickly expands going into the holiday season.

Praise Report: We have fully submitted our 501(c)(3) classification! It's been an arduous process, but we've finally finished it thanks to God and your support.

To guide your prayers, read Acts 20:32 (NLT):

"And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself."
