The health, safety and welfare of our property owners, residents, employees, visitors and businesses are priority one for Hot Springs Village. We encourage social distancing or sheltering in place to prevent COVID19 from spreading in our community.
Many of our local businesses offer delivery, online ordering, gift certificates and other creative methods to serve their customers while maintaining safe distancing. Please support these businesses.
Today, Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced the guidelines for reopening the state's houses of worship during his COVID-19 briefing.
There guidelines placed on places of worship include keeping a six-foot distance between non-family groups of parishioners and 12 feet of distance between worship leaders and the congregation. Everyone older than 10 is advised to wear masks and online worship is strongly encouraged. These guidelines are effective today, May 4.
The governor also issued guidelines for large outdoor venues, which include sports venues and fairgrounds, put in place today as well. He also issued the guidelines for large indoor venues, which go into place May 18, and include movie theaters and bowling alleys.
Hutchinson said that Arkansas is at 3,458 cases. Of those, 81 people are hospitalized and 16 are on ventilators. There have been 81 deaths in Arkansas, 5 of which were Cummins Unit.
This is all part of Phase 1 for reopening. If there is no surge in 14 days, then Phase 2 shall begin. These are all part of the reopening guidelines for the country set by the White House. You can read those guidelines

Green Market
Hot Springs Village will see its farmers market return in May. The Green Market will be open for business on May 21 at Grove Park. It will be open every Thursday from 8 a.m.-noon through the end of September.
Social Distancing will be practiced and we will be strictly following the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines listed here.
One of our farmers is already open for business. Ouachita Hills Farms will be taking pre-paid orders for pick-up on their website. Orders can be placed online and picked up on Thursday, May 7, and Thursday, May 14, from 8 a.m.-noon at the Ponce De Leon Center parking lot.
Saline & Garland Counties
As of Thursday, 68 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Saline County and 1,264 have tested negative. Of those testing positive, 49 have recovered. The total number of people who have died in Saline County remains at one.
In Garland County, 118 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 2,189 have tested negative. Of the people infected, 106 have recovered. There have been no deaths resulting from Garland County cases.
