The Lowdown with Lori
There’s no doubt this has been an incredibly challenging time for tourism in Georgetown/Scott County, but we see National Travel and Tourism Week as an opportunity to remind our visitors and our residents of the incredible spirit and resiliency of the travel industry and our workforce.

Although we can’t meet in person, we can stay connected, unified and supportive from afar, rallying around the Spirit of Travel. That is why we at Georgetown/Scott County Tourism are so excited about releasing our new campaign for the year, "Gtown Is My Town, Why I choose Georgetown" during National Travel & Tourism Week. While we have asked a few of our local celebrities in the community to get us started, we invite everyone including our visitors that have made lasting memories in our town to send us a video clip using the following guidelines:

1.) The video clip should be no longer than 20-30 seconds.
2.) Film vertically for consistency; we will be putting together a mashup.
3.) Include one or both of the following phrases, “Gtown is My Town” and/or "I choose Georgetown.”
4.) Try to be creative with the messaging and location.
5.) All ages are welcome to participate!

Videos should be emailed to: tourism@georgetownky.com

Finally, I would like to take the time to thank everyone for being supportive of local businesses and helping their neighbors, you are playing a key role in Georgetown/Scott County’s rebound and most importantly keeping the Spirit of Georgetown Alive . It’s only a matter of time before we all get moving again, and Georgetown/Scott County will be more ready than ever to welcome travelers with gracious hospitality and our pure small town charm.

Gtown Is My Town,
Lori
