Roslyn Public Schools
SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

January 20, 2021

Dear Roslyn Families,

Please be advised that the following positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported to the Roslyn School District as follows:

Roslyn High School - 1 student, 1 staff member
Roslyn Middle School- 1 student, 1 staff
East Hills Elementary - 2 students
*Harbor Hill Elementary School - 1 student

Internal contact tracing has been completed and these cases will be reviewed by the Nassau County Department of Health to determine if anyone who had close contact outside the school with these individuals will need to be quarantined. With the exception of the individual at Harbor Hill, most of the individuals referenced above have not been in our school buildings for several days.

*At Harbor Hill, the class in which the student tested positive will switch to remote learning for 10 days. At this time, every parent with a child in this class, or who is considered a potential close contact, has been notified. Be reminded that since our classes are held in contained pods, and students have no interaction with the school population at large, this case does not warrant a school building closure.

Please be reminded that if anyone in your household is awaiting test results, you should not send your children to school until you get a negative result.

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Sincerely,

Allison Brown
Superintendent of Schools
