Message from the Principal
Dear DHS Staff, Students, and Families,

This week we began to offer more in-person services, including the lyceum, PERC, and athletics. (See the services section below for the link to sign up for the lyceum and PERC.) We will continue to notify students and parents/guardians of additional opportunities as they come available. With that in mind, please know that next week, I will be sharing specific details for our upcoming Community Day on February 1. On February 1, we will prioritize opportunities for our sophomores and provide options for other grade levels. Looking ahead, on February 8, we will prioritize juniors, March 1 for freshmen, and March 8 for seniors. During these days, we will have options for academics and activities.

Finally, I want to take a moment to recognize all of our amazing seniors, the Class of 2021. This is an incredibly challenging school year for everyone, yet especially for our seniors, who have been faced with constant uncertainty about milestone high school moments and their last memories at the DHS. With that said, this amazing group of students has persevered, trying to make the best of their senior year in new and unique ways. And so, starting this month and every month until the end of the school year, we will celebrate our seniors on the 21st of each month - the 21st for the Class of 2021. Please join me by reaching out to a special senior student in your life to let them know you are thinking of them!

Sincerely,
Principal Kathryn Anderson
Happening Next Week
We will start the week on Monday, January 25 with a Cycle 78 day. On Tuesday, January 26, many junior students will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT test so this day will be an asynchronous LS day. All students are encouraged to attend office hours. Students with Ds/Fs must attend office hours to receive support from their teacher. We will return to our regular cycle days on Wednesday-Friday. See the schedule, which highlights these changes.
