Thank You Annapolis!

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Supporters,

The results of the City Election were made official on Tuesday, following the final canvass of
mail-in ballots. Thank you Annapolis! I am so humbled and grateful for your support. A
special thank you to all who believed in me and supported my campaign. You took a chance
on me four years ago and knowing that your belief in our vision is even stronger today, is
great encouragement and motivates me to keep working for our community.

A new City Council

I’d like to congratulate all our new elected, or re-elected Council Members. This election
was a sweeping win for Democratic candidates to the City Council, speaking to the values
and direction voters are seeking. I’m excited and eager to get back to work and, with the
help of our new Council, deliver on promises and plans for our future.

Working for all residents

As Mayor I’ve worked to balance the needs and interests of all the different members of our community – families, our under-served residents, and local businesses, to name a few. That's why I’m proud to have received support from so many in this election, including both Democrat and Republican voters. I remain committed to bringing goodwill to City governance, and to listening and working for all residents – Democrats, Republicans, those who voted for me, and those who didn’t.

Working together - my door is always open

I truly believe our small and close-knit community gives us a unique opportunity to work together regardless of political, or other, differences. I believe local communities, where we live and work as neighbors, are where we can start healing the divisions seen across our country in recent times. We all have a voice and part to play in building a strong community, and our ideas and solutions are always better when our different views are brought to the table. That’s why I will keep listening and my door will always be open to all residents.

Thank you Annapolis for the faith and trust you have shown in me. In return, I pledge to keep working hard to deliver all we’ve dreamed of and worked for over the next four years.
