During the time the Library is closed, the Bloomingdale Public Library is helping the Village of Bloomingdale Public Works Staff keep up their social distancing. Thanks to smart planning, our building is designed to allow us to lock-off the main library building while providing Village staff 24-hour secure access to the building. The library is providing access to our lower level meeting rooms as an additional work space. As a result you may notice Village of Bloomingdale vehicles in our parking lot. This is just one small way of helping the Village staff that are working hard to provide essential services.
BPL is also using our
3D printer
to create parts for face shields. Others will be creating the elastic band and clear plastic face mask to complete the full face shield. They will be donated to AMITA hospitals in the area to support our healthcare workers who are working in the heart of the pandemic. We're here to support them!
