CURRENT COMMUNITY MITIGATION LEVEL
SUBSTANTIAL TO SHELTER IN PLACE

The health, safety and welfare of our property owners, residents, employees, visitors and businesses are priority one for Hot Springs Village. We encourage social distancing or sheltering in place to prevent COVID19 from spreading in our community.

We also encourage supporting local businesses as can safely be achieved.  Several are offering delivery services, online services, gift certificates and other creative methods to serve their customers and we applaud their efforts.

We encourage you to visit our webpage  https://explorethevillage.com/members/hsv-covid-19/ that is being used to provide the latest updates, including closings and postponements.

State of Arkansas
Gov. Asa Hutchinson gave his State of the State Address on Wednesday. He touched on a variety of topics including telemedicine and the state's economy, which he said is strong but on pause.  You can watch the State of the State Address here

Later that afternoon, Hutchinson gave his daily COVID-19 update. In the update, he said that the numbers of Arkansans testing positive has increased to 1,023. Currently, 76 people have been hospitalized with 30 on ventilators. No new deaths were reported today. One more Arkansas county has joined the list of those with COVID-19 cases: Franklin.

During the update, Hutchinson said that he expects the number of unemployment claims to increase to 150,000 by the end of the week. This is the first week where the $600 unemployment raise due to the COVID-19 virus is in effect. SBA loans were also discussed.

You can see the governor's daily COVID-19 update here .

Golf
Effective Wednesday, April 8, the golf shops will no longer accept cash for payments. We prefer you add money to your POA account so there is no need to enter the golf shops. Not entering golf shops will help keep members and employees safe. If you must pay by credit card, you may enter the golf shop but please be mindful of social distancing.

All golfers must adhere to the social distancing (6 feet) directive by not having close groups on the courses. Please always keep your spacing with all other golfers. Failure to do so may lead to golf course closures.

Good Neighbors
GO4HUB is offering a pick-up and delivery service to the Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village areas. GO4HUB is made up of property owners inside the Village, but the business is based outside of the gates. Please visit their website www.go4hub.com to see their safety precautions during this time. Their phone number is 501-500-1934. They would love to help those sheltering in place to get their necessary items or run their errands.

Garland & Saline Counties
As of April 8, 51 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Garland County. In Saline County, the number of positive tests is 33.

In Saline County, 21 people are currently under investigation and may potentially have the virus or another illness with similar symptoms.

Due to HIPAA laws, neither the POA or HSV Police Department are notified when a resident tests or the outcome of those tests.
