NOW MORE THAN EVER IN NOVEMBER! This is the month, this is the time for us as a community to activate our networks to support SCOPE and help give even more children who need it, the camp experiences ALL children deserve!   This week we're kicking November off with spotlights on individuals and groups who are doing their part right now to make a difference! ANDREW BERG SCOPE Board Member

SCOPE BOARD OF DIRECTORS For two years now, Andrew Berg has brought more than just a fresh and unique perspective to his role as a member of our SCOPE Board of Directors, he's helped to engage corporate partners and new supporters into the SCOPE mix. As a close friend of fellow SCOPE Board member Ross Coleman, Andrew was introduced to SCOPE by attending our annual SCOPE Benefit years ago and knew he needed to be more involved. As the President and CEO of Robert Graham (a division of Centric Brands), Andrew built an ongoing corporate relationship between Robert Graham and SCOPE. This included social media stories during GivingTuesday last year to raise awareness and support for SCOPE. For the holiday season, they made a generous donation to SCOPE in honor of their clients, thereby educating their customers and extending awareness of SCOPE through their holiday initiatives and brand influencers spreading SCOPE messaging. Additionally, to further pay it forward Andrew has brought his friend Patrick Gaston into the SCOPE fold as our newest board member. We are grateful to Andrew for highlighting corporate social responsibility as well as taking advantage of opportunities to give back through SCOPE in various ways!

MILLBURN HIGH SCHOOL SCOPE CLUB SCOPE Junior Leadership Council Starting SCOPE Clubs in schools and home communities are popular ways for our teen supporters to engage with their peers in fun and meaningful ways while championing a cause close to their hearts -– giving the gift of camp!  Led by Millie Grebin and Jake Talbert (Camp Taconic), the SCOPE Club at Millburn High School in New Jersey was revived this fall after a few years’ hiatus. Recruiting members is key with any new club and they decided on a bake sale as their first initiative to raise funds and get the word out about the club. The October 14 bake sale was a success! There were many interested in joining the club and anyone who wore their favorite camp or college t-shirt received a free cookie! As the club grows, we look forward to cheering them on as they continue to make Strides4SCOPE! VISIT UNION LEAGUE'S WEBSITE Union League Boys & Girls Clubs Camp SCOPE Midwest Union League Boys & Girls Clubs Camp offers over 1,000 campers each summer a chance to engage in outdoor camping, campfire ceremonies, storytelling, arts and crafts, drama, music, boating and fishing. Campers learn about environmental awareness, leadership and team building. After camp, youth return home with new skills and new friends. For many children and teens, the camp experience is transformational. Over the past 90 years, more than 50,000 young people experienced the pastoral freedom of the 247 acres of rolling hills and woodlands that surround beautiful Lake Francis in Salem, Wisconsin. SCOPE is proud to partner with the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs to provide summer camp experiences to children from underserved communities in the Midwest.
