Dearest Cool Cat Families,
I hope that this message finds you well. Thank you for continuing to take the time to read all communication sent to you by Team LGUSD as we continue to focus on how connections are being made and how content is being provided in a coordinated fashion. I am hopeful that Cool Cats of all ages are finding cheer in connecting with their teachers and classmates. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.
During our school closure, I will be creating a “Mittleman’s Challenge” each week where students and families can choose to participate in a fun activity to help spread joy. This is absolutely optional and is intended to be student focused with a projected outcome of spreading some Cool Cat PAWSitivity in our community during this time. Here goes

by Tuesday, March 31st, with your video. The email should include the first and last name of the student and the names of any additional participants. The Cool Cat Remix submissions will be reviewed by Daves Avenue teachers and the first and second place contestants will be featured in The Avenue next week. Also, when school resumes Mrs. Mittleman will treat you to a special lunch!

*Authors' Day 2020*
Due to the school closure, Authors' Day 2020 has been postponed at this time. If you purchased Authors' Day books through the Book Sale, please stay tuned for more information coming soon as to the possibility of delivering books at a later date.

We are very saddened that, due to the school closure and recent events, our 2020 Cool Cat Auction at The Palms on April 18th must be cancelled.
Discussions are ongoing with our Auction Committee about alternatives. Please stay tuned!
