Casa Grande, AZ (January 12, 2021) – Companies have faced challenging circumstances throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Many have struggled to maneuver through continuously evolving impediments to economic viability and sustainability. Achieving a sense of normality has been a moving target. Casa Grande CARES financially assists local (City) businesses and federally recognized non-profits that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Businesses and non-profits that have experienced a loss of 25% revenue or more are highly encouraged to apply.

This program provides a one-time reimbursement of up to $20,000 to qualifying applicants for rent, mortgage, utility expenses, an extension of property (restaurants only), and/or the purchase of personal protective equipment for a three-month period. Qualifying expense periods are either September-October-November 2020 or October-November-December 2020. The City of Casa Grande will be accepting applications from January 12, 2021, through February 11, 2021 (4:00 p.m. - MST). Funding will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying small businesses or federally designated non-profits supporting new COVID-19 programming in 2020. Applicants are encouraged to apply early. Priority will be given to businesses, and federally designated non-profits who have received no prior CARES assistance from the City.

NOTE: Applicants that received previous City-based CARES assistance are only eligible up to a $20,000 cap and will have lower priority based on the number of applications.

To qualify, applicants must be located at a physical, commercial address within the City of Casa Grande boundaries. Individual Arizona franchised businesses may also be eligible if the applicant location is within the City and the individual franchise location is not owned by a national chain or out-of-state corporation.

Applicants may apply online at www.casagrandeaz.gov/cgcares to download and submit an application or pick one up from the lobby receptionist located in City Hall. When submitting, please remember to attach all supporting documentation to the application. If mailing, please use a sealed envelope to safeguard personal information. Once received, the City will exercise reasonable care when processing to protect your information. All applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The application is intended to provide the City with basic eligibility information that will be processed and verified to assist as quickly as possible. Applicants are ineligible if they have received prior federal assistance. Follow-up information or clarification of incomplete data may be necessary. The City reserves the right and sole discretion to limit or discontinue funding at any time to any applicant.
