New Castle County Police Department promotes twelve
The New Castle County Police Department promoted twelve officers to higher posts during a ceremony at the Cpl. Paul J. Sweeney Public Safety Building on Tuesday night, February 4th. County kicks off 2020 Census at U.S. Census Bureau Wilmington office
The 2020 Census kicked off at the U.S. Census Bureau's Wilmington Field office on Thursday. Representatives from New Castle County joined federal, state and local officials to discuss how outreach efforts would take place across Delaware and New Castle County, starting with a series of hiring fairs this month at the Route 9 Library. County tests electric vehicles to reduce carbon footprint, fuel costs
In an effort to reduce the county's carbon footprint and reduce fuels costs, County Executive Matt Meyer and Department of Public Works managers Dale Saunders and Paul Frese have been testing electric vehicles to add to the county's vehicle fleet. Bob Kerr retires from County 911 center after 45 years of service
Bob Kerr has retired after 45 years of service working in New Castle County 911. He has answered, dispatched and supervised hundreds of thousands of calls. Bob Kerr was  Google Maps  for the County before Google existed, working with the  US Postal Service  to get addresses across our county registered so the ambulance will find your home in an emergency. We all owe a debt of gratitude to Bob.
