The Friends are now accepting book donations on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, during Library open hours. Please make sure all books are in a box or bag, and place them on the cart just outside the entrance to the library.
The Library will be closed Monday, July 4 for Independence Day.

The Friends of the Library are excited to be selling their Book Bundles - it's Christmas in July! Find some beautifully-wrapped bundles of books for $6, all this month, during regular Library Open Hours. Surprise someone with a gift of reading!

The NEW location is at the corner of Ruggles and Milford Rd, at the Highland Station Depot just south of M59. We will have activities and library materials on-hand for you to check out, and maybe a prize giveaway! Highland residents can even sign up for a library card! See you there...

For ages birth through 5 years, plus caregivers and families.
Drop in between 10am and Noon on Tuesdays and Fridays to play and socialize. We'll have a selection of educational toys and books out for you to enjoy exploring. We will meet outdoors on the shaded back patio.
In case of bad weather, this event will be cancelled, not moved indoors.
May through September.

Welcome to StoryWalk, a self-guided reading adventure outside the Highland Library. Enjoy a story in the great outdoors by following a grassy path through the field and down toward the lake as you read the story page by page.
StoryWalk is go for 2022! We will change out the title every month or so.

Community Sharing is offering free one-on-one tutoring this summer (and fall). School help is available for all subjects, for children K-12 as well as Adults looking to do their GED. Tutors are volunteers and must complete background checks. Sessions are held in public places (like the library). Free for Community Sharing clients or those qualifying for Low Income Lunch Programs. Please call Community Sharing for more information or to set up an introduction at 248-889-0347.
