To Staff and the Twin Rivers School Community,
As I write this message, California COVID-19 rates are dropping (Sacramento remains in the purple tier) and state leaders have met (Thursday) to discuss plans for reopening schools. The Safe and Open Schools Plan (Senate Bill 86) calls for the opening of more of the state’s elementary schools in April. Will it happen? I don’t know. News outlets around the state are reporting that the Governor and legislators are at odds over the plan. Everyone agrees children need to be back in the classroom. But when? The Los Angeles Times is reporting that we may learn more about where this is headed as early as Monday.
What I do know is that this is a fluid situation and all of our planning is subject to change based on evolving circumstances and the latest medical guidance.
