Zone 9 Represented at USHJA Annual Meeting
Members come together to share ideas and celebrate the sport

Zone 9 members were in attendance at the USHJA Annual Meeting, presented by World Equestrian Center, Dec. 10-14 in San Antonio, Texas. 

 

Nearly 300 members from across the country worked together brainstorming new ideas, discussing programs, hearing guest speakers, asking questions and raising concerns all with a common goal of improving the sport. Congratulations to Dianne Johnson who received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 USHJA Annual Meeting, presented by World Equestrian Center. 

Johnson began riding when she was 15 years old and went on to become a trainer where her discipline, work ethic and infectious energy propelled her to the top. She also acts as competition manager, managing top hunter/jumper competitions in Washington and the Northwest and is a USEF-licensed C1 Steward. 

She and her husband Johnny Johnson opened Sterling Stables, and Dianne has had an impact on many young riders. In addition, she has been involved with multiple boards and committees at USHJA and USEF, currently serving as USHJA Vice President and Chair of the USHJA Hunter Working Group.
