RESPONSIBLE TOURISM IN LAKE COUNTY

As Summer rolls in to the high country, so do campers and cars full of adventure seeking travelers who are eager to experience what the outdoors of Lake County has to offer. Unfortunately, year after year, our land is damaged, dirtied, and left worse for wear due to reckless treatment from those that enjoy its beauty. However, much of the wear and tear can be reduced and even avoided completely with proper precaution and the right approach to hiking, camping, and other activities that draw people to our home.

From pet safety to putting out your campfire, this pamphlet from the Leadville Herald Democrat covers a wide variety of frequently discussed issues regarding outdoor recreation and the correct methods of approach to solve them.

A big thanks to all of the partners involved in helping put this together!
