FAQs on Temporary Waivers related to Medicare Provider Enrollment
The attached FAQ, released by CMS, goes over temporary waivers related to Medicare provider enrollment during this current COVID-19 climate.

Some of the questions in the FAQ include 'How is CMS using its authority under Section 1135 of the Social Security Act to offer flexibilities with Medicare provider enrollment to support the 2019 Novel Coronavirus national emergency?' and 'What are the Medicare Provider Enrollment Hotline numbers and hours of operation?'

DHCS Gets CMS Waiver Approval for Medi-Cal

DHCS submitted an extensive waiver request last week to eliminate certain requirements for the Medi-Cal program. Of interest to us is waiving some of the "face to face" requirements , provider documentation for TARs, and more to authorize and reimburse for services. Here is a link to the CMS letter and DHCS waiver request.


DHCS has stated that they intend to issue more specifics on what the changes are and how to comply by tomorrow March 26th. We will share more as it becomes available.
