ACT for Juniors: CCHS is offering the ACT on Saturday, February 6, 2021. To register, students will need to use my.act.org. CCHS is a closed test site and only our students will be allowed to register to test here. During the registration, students will first need to indicate that they attend Charlotte Catholic and then will need to enter the CCHS Test Center Code: 245940. The deadline to register is January 8. Space is limited.
If your student needs testing accommodations, please work with Learning Support to apply. 50% extended time is the only accommodation that can be offered for the CCHS February 6th administration.
ACT does not compensate proctors for their administration at a closed test site. In the fall the CCHS Foundation graciously paid our proctors through a grant applied to by the counseling department. In order to compensate our proctors for their time this February, there will be an additional ACT test fee on the school store. ACT Fee Please submit payment of this fee by January 8. Project Uplift is a summer enrichment and college access program designed to promote and increase access to higher education for all outstanding students, especially those underrepresented in post-secondary education. Every year, during May and June, approximately 1,000 high school seniors participate in one of four separate Project Uplift sessions. During this two-day experience, Project Uplift participants live on Carolina’s campus, interacting with faculty, staff, and current students, participating in educational, cultural, and social activities. Project Uplift Scholars have the opportunity to immerse themselves in college life and experience the academic rigor and social climate of a four-year institution.
Project Uplift sessions will be held virtually in 2021. Once accepted, participants will have the opportunity to register for their preferred week. The 2021 program dates are below:
  • Session 1: June 7-8
  • Session 2: June 9-10
  • Session 3: June 14-15
  • Session 4: June 16-17
