Dear GMHS Students and Families,
Happy New Year and Welcome Back to School! We are excited to get back to teaching and learning this semester.
The events in Washington D.C. earlier this week were disturbing and sad. GMHS has resources that we can share with families and students who may be struggling with the layers of uncertainty happening. Please reach out to your student's counselor, our mental health counselor, Ms. Federico, or an administrator if there is anything we can do to help your student.
- Please see this weeks' video Principal Report linked above.
Thank you for your continued support!
Go Rams!
Colleen Owens
Principal

Apply to help with fees
Although Jeffco is supplying free meals because of the Pandemic, many federal programs and extra counseling support is determined by a school’s percentage of approved APPLICATIONS for free and reduced lunch program. The potential is there for GM to receive more funding and student supports with increased free and reduced lunch participation. Approval also helps you with other school fees. To apply visit: Free & Reduced - JEFFCO Public School Food & Nutrition Services
If you would like to use the Comcast Internet Essential low cost internet access they will ask if you filled out a free and reduced lunch before applying.

The start date for Season B has been delayed based on communication with CDPHE. Please read the linked CHSAA update for more specific information. We ask that you still register your athletes for Season B sports (Boys' & Girls' Basketball and Girls' Swim) as planned. Fees will not be charged until after the season officially starts. The Season B Parent/Athlete/Coach Meeting has been postponed. We will post the rescheduled meeting information on our website as soon as we have determined the new date.
MEDICAL CLEARANCE FOR CONCUSSIONS & COVID19 POSITIVE: In efforts to ensure our student-athletes are safe and healthy, please note that there is a Return to Play protocol for anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Many know there is a Return to Play protocol for those that have experienced concussions. This is something new that requires a Doctor's clearance to start, so if you have any questions, please contact our athletic trainer, Catherine Ortiz, at [email protected]
**There are other JeffCo schools that offer Ice Hockey, Skiing, and Wrestling which are also Season B sports. Contact the athletic office of the school where your athlete is interested in participating to get more information.
Contact our Athletic Office (303-982-9570) if you have any questions.
