Let Us Know You're Coming to LIC Springs! 2022
LICP's signature community block festival, LIC Springs!, returns Saturday, June 18, featuring 100+ local businesses and organizations, including many of the community’s top arts and dining establishments. Now in its ninth year, the free event is back along Vernon Boulevard – the first time since 2019 – and is the perfect way for New Yorkers (and visitors) of all ages to spend a day during the holiday weekend.

Juneteenth at the Connected Chef - June 19, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Enjoy performances, food, and activities that reflect and celebrate black culture during this Juneteenth and Father's Day festival. Join LICkiddy Split & LICP Member The Connected Chef for a special Father's Day celebration honoring Black Fathers and a celebration recognizing Juneteenth. This event will be free entry with a special Father's Day Brunch menu, live music and performances and local Black vendors! Learn more here.
Juneteenth at the Gantries - June 19, 12-3 p.m.
Come and celebrate Juneteenth in Long Island City! The family friendly gathering will have many activities to enjoy. They will be providing many items like snacks and tote bags with Juneteenth themed activities and information about local Black owned Businesses.
Please bring your blankets and set up nearby to have food and fun with your family and friends. Just like other Juneteenth celebrations across the country, this event will continue the tradition of rich food and fellowship. Learn more here.
Court Square Block Party - June 19, 12-7 p.m.
The 3rd Annual Court Square Block Party will take place on Sunday, June 19 on Crescent St, in Long Island City! The Court Square Civic Association and local restaurant M. Wells will host the day filled with activities for all ages, including live music, food, drinks, crafts, a pop-up playground, kiddie pools, puppet acts, comedy, vinyl vendors and more. Crescent Street will be open and car-free, allowing local residents and visitors space to hang outside, relax and enjoy the day with the community. Learn more here.

COVID-19 Updates
As of Monday, June 13, NYC Mayor Eric Adams announced that masks are optional for 2-4 year old children in all early childhood settings. They still strongly recommend that New Yorkers of all ages continue to wear masks indoors and will continue to make masks available for any child or school staff member who wishes to continue wearing them. As of Sunday, June 12, the CDC announced that the Order requiring persons to show a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before boarding a flight to the United States is rescinded. Starting at 12:01AM ET on June 12, 2022, air passengers do not need to get tested and show the COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 prior to boarding a flight to the U.S. More information can be found here.
