STATEWIDE CHANGES DUE TO COVID-19
Earlier today, Governor Roy Cooper announced new changes for businesses and health care providers to combat against COVID-19:

  • Schools are now closed until May 15th
  • Starting March 25, 2020 at 5pm, the following businesses must close: Bingo parlors, bowling alleys, ice skating rinks, indoor exercise facilities (gyms, studios, etc.), health clubs, indoor pools, live performance venues, movie theaters, roller skating rinks, spas, sweepstakes lounges, video game arcades.
  • Additional businesses where social distancing is not possible must shut down starting March 25 at 5pm, including: Barber shops, beauty salons, hair salons, nail salons, massage parlors, tattoo shops.
  • Essential service businesses will continue to remain open, including: Gas stations, grocery stores, pharmacies, major retail department stores, manufacturing facilities.
  • A visitor ban will be enforced to all visitors, excluding health care personnel and end-of-life care providers. This includes long-term care facilities, nursing homes, mental health and disability group homes.
